Kids *love* it; the adults do not. We own several toy instruments that we are pleased with. This one, however, sounds like a loud duck. The toy went into hiding as soon as the kids stepped away.

The trumpet fell apart the very first time my grandson (1 yr. old) picked it up. The device that makes the noise fell out. My daughter immediately grabbed it and said to me: Dad, why did you get him a toy with a part that he can swallow. End of Story.

Seriously, if you want a toy trumpet, buy something else. It broke within 5 minutes of opening the package. After playing with it a few more times, broken, it's now a resisdent of the local garbage dump.
