Absolutely loved this pinata! the reviews before both state that one hit and the pinata was on the floor, well thats because its not a regular pinata its a pull string pinata, each kid is suppose to take turns pulling a string from the bottom only one string opens a trap door that lets all the candy spill out! its made for younger children who dont have the strength to bust open one with a bat! each child pulls a string (which comes off if it isnt the right one) until the one connected to the trap door opens! hope this helps everyone! :)

The tie at the top where you hang the pinata busted through on the first blow by a 4 yr old. So you need to reinforce it before you hang it otherwise you will have a bunch of impatient kids.

Last year, we had a pinata that had to be hit with stick - too tough for small children. This pull-string pinata was much easier for the crew of young kids to enjoy. It's expensive for one-time use but worked well at the party.
