Tikiyata Ultimate Party Pinata

This was a big hit at my daughter's party -- and there were no bats to worry about. It's a very good idea and we'll use it again, but it was flimsier than I thought it would be. The plastic is very thin and flexible. Good for storage (you can roll it into a tight roll) - but I worry that it will rip before too many more uses. It lasted through the first use though and I love that we can re-use it.

We used this at my daughter's birthday and it was a huge hit! One problem we've found with pinatas is that they are inconsistent in strength. We've had some break on the first hit and an infamous one that ended with my husband jumping up and down on it to break it after 45 minutes of kids pounding on it.

This was a very cool alternative. Kids pull sticks from the plastic, a la the game Kerplunk. The rules say that the kid gets all the candy that falls on his turn. No coconut-sounding head knocks as the kids dive for the candy. After twenty sticks, then kids can have a free-for-all.

The kids thought this was a blast. There was much chatter among them over which stick to pull. It was easy to set-up and it's great that we can re-use it. The plastic is a bit flimsy, but for something that will be used a couple times a year, I think we shall get enough uses out of it to last a long time.
