Our daughters have been having fun drinking with these. I bought these because I had ruined the last set by running them through the dishwasher where the high heat was too much for them. We wash these by hand and they are just fine. They can be a slight pain to wash so I take a soapy sponge to the tops and bottoms and run them under warm water. Our kids have favorite colors so even though we're washing the straws, they are essentially using the same ones over again.
