Good Points:
1. This pinata was so beautiful! We used it as a center piece on the gift table and no one even realized it was a pinata until we went to tie it up.
2. The "mast" moves up which makes it easier to store before the party.
3. Not too big. Large enough to hold a reasonable amount of loot without breaking the bank. We had 12 kids and it held more than enough for all of them.
Bad Points:
1. Oddly enough, the downside to this pinata is how sturdily it's built! Between 12 kids AND 12 adults we could not bust this thing open! After everyone had a few turns (and with only quarter-sized hole to show for it) we settled for ripping the pinata open and dumping it's contents out for the kids collect. Use a bat instead of a pinata stick and you should be fine.
Tiniest pinata I have ever seen.,

For $20 I expected something twice this size. Yes, they provided dimensions in the product description but when you get the pinata, its about 1/2 the size of a "small" pinata. Guess you are paying for the pirate theme.
