I searched and searched for a birthday hat for my daughter's second birthday. I didn't want a princess hat and I didn't want to get a cardboard thing that I'd just throw out. I saw this hat and thought it was a great idea. LOVE the detachable candles. They stay on surprisingly well, and there is a zippered pouch built into the inside of the hat where you can keep them--which also helped make the hat fit for my 2-year-old, since her head is so small. There is also an adjustable band around the inside of the hat. I love that she'll have this hat for at least four more birthdays and that we'll have a little tradition.
The hat is well made and very sturdy, but it's soft and somewhat malleable.
The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish the "Happy birthday" text part were cuter; the typeface they used is so ugly, as is the overall graphic design. But I couldn't find a hat that was cute and also had the detachable candles and the adjustability. Oh, well!

I was looking for a Birthday hat for my nine year old's party. I found this one and it was great. It was easy to adjust the size to fit his head correctly. The velcro candles stayed on the hat even with the kids running around.

I wanted to find a birthday hat that my little one could wear year after year. This one is perfect and seems to be well made. He wore it long enough for a few pictures at his first birthday party and that's all I cared about. I love the fact that there is storage for the additional candles in the inside the hat. Great purchase, very happy with it.
