I'm not a teacher and wouldnt' consider myself qualified to answer about the educational value. My 3yo son enjoys this puzzle and the different ways he can view it. He's just recently been into puzzles and this is one he does often. My husband really likes this puzzle :)

Now I see why this puzzle was on sale for $1.00 at Big Lots. The surface of the puzzle is designed so the pictures change when you move the pieces around, which makes it very difficult to put together. Also, some of the pieces are so similar in shape that they can fit in different slots, even if they're the wrong piece. I wouldn't buy this puzzle again.
