Summary: good pinata, not a ton of candy fits inside 2010-04-24
Comment: My daughter like many had a princess party. After being to a number of parties with pinatas she announced she needed a pinata as well. But, as I witnessed at those parties, no 4 year old can really hit one hard enough to open it. We witnessed a lot of dads hitting the crap out of Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, etc. at those parties. I really liked that this one had ribbons to pull the pinata open (made me nervous to have 4 yr olds swinging a bat around 15 other 4-yr olds). It worked great. We had all the kids grab a ribbon at the same time and pull. That way they were all there already when the candy came pouring down. Couple of notes, the candy is only held in the middle section, so while there was enough candy for our needs, some people may be disappointed in the amount of candy it can hold. Also, make sure to buy small pieces of candy, as even the Spree packages were a little big and had to be shaken out by a grown up.
Summary: Everything we expected! 2010-03-29
Comment: Beautiful! Easy to fill and set up. It even fit king-sized candy bars. kids loved it! Every child got to pull a string before the flap opened. Highly recommended.
Summary: Disappointing 2010-03-17
Comment: I'm not sure if we just had dumb luck with this pinata, but it was not at all what we hoped it would be. We had a party of 10 kids all lined up to pull the ribbons and the thing opened when the first kid pulled on it! I looked at the design, and it seemed like ALL the ribbons were attached to the trap door at the bottom. We were also disappointed that it was difficult to fill with stuff - the hole they give you is VERY well hidden and it is VERY small so not much fits through. I would definitely not recommend this due to its poor design.
