I always consult reviews before ordering, so I thought this was a quality item when I ordered it. Apparently those referring to it as 'quality" and durable" were writing with some ulterior motive, because those are the last descriptors I would use. When this arrived, it is CHEAP plastic - rough edges and all - more reminiscent of a cheap party favor than a quality or useful toy. I am particularly disappointed because: (a) I purchased the coat and boots, which ARE quality items - very much so and (b) because I paid *** over $25 with shipping! So watch it - S&H ads up on this, and it is CHEAP - cheap, cheap, cheap. Save your money. It's a real shame. Looks cool online, and completes the firefighter "costume" of useful rain gear.

Quality Toy,

= Durability: = Fun: = Educational: I was tired of the plastic firehats cracking all of the time so I decided to pay more for something that would last. I'm very satisfied with this hat. I believe it will last. My son even dressed up as a fireman for Halloween. The only negative I can think of is that the Fire Chief emblem on the front is just a sticker. I'm not sure how long it will stay on or last.
