We got the princess castle pinata for our daughter's sixth birthday party. If I were to describe the kids' reaction, it would be initial excitement, followed shortly after by frustration, followed by excitement at getting the candy.

As other reviewers note, this pinata is sturdy -- maybe too much so. It survived a good dozen or more whacks from the kids (using a heavy, hard wood dowel, too!), only surrendering the candy within after a few whacks from the parents.

My 7-year-old and all her friends had so much fun trying to break this pinata. It's quite sturdy and took all 12 kids several rounds to see all the candies/toys dropped out. For this price, I would recommend this toy for a girl's party.

We purchased this pinata for our daughter's 3rd princess themed birthday party. It was cute, good for the price, and held up for about 15 hits from other children under the age of 6. It is a little flimsy, but held up well for the party.
