This review is from: Aztec Imports Monkey Pinata (Toy) So i read the product desciption of this pinata and it said "holds 2lbs of candy" and i thought to myself hmm i dont know if this thing is very big or very sturdy... Welllet me tell u this thing is plenty big and SOLID! i actually stuffed this thing full of candy - about 10lbs worth ha no joke! i stuffed it soo full that i couldnt have fit another jawbreaker in there. Then i was worried the plastic loop you tie your string to would break off because it was soo heavy, but it held perfectly. Oh and underneath the paper mache' is very sturdy cardboard! not paper or newspaper thick cardboard! this pinata was so sturdy that I had 2 8-10 yr old kids swinging baseball bats at the same time beating this thing, one wooden bat and one plastic bat, and it still took a good 5 minutes to break this thing open! I bought this Monkey Pinata for a co-worker who needed cheering up. I also bought 7 pounds of Werther's Toffee Candies to put inside. Like other reviewers noted, even though the pinata say's it can hold over 2 pounds of candy, it can hold much more. I was able to stuff 7 pounds in, though it was a tight squeeze. The great news was, it did in fact cheer up my co-worker. Instead of hanging this from a string/rope, I gave him a knife and let him sink the blade into the belly of the cardboard beast. It took him a few puncture wounds, and some grunting sounds, and the candy started to flow out. We enjoyed the candy, and still have the pleasure of looking at it daily, and eating the sweet sweet toffee nectar from this ape's belly. Pro's: - Sturdy, well constructed - Hold's a lot of Candy (appx 7 lbs) - Puts smiles on peoples faces (we are talking 30 year old's here)...Read more |
