This review is from: Aztec Imports Ice Cream Cone Pinata (Toy) I ordered the "Aztec Imports Ice Cream Cone Piñata" from Amazon in Sept. 2010. This piñata was used at the birthday party of a kindergarten-age child. The stated dimensions of 13"W x 3.5"D x 20"H seem correct.
The sides of this piñata are made of corrugated cardboard perhaps 1/8" thick, and are covered on the outside with frizzy tissue paper. The front side has a piece of paper, glued over the yellow tissue, that is printed with a brown pattern resembling a waffle-cone. There was no waffle-cone pattern glued to the back side of the "cone". There is 3-4" slit in the back side of the piñata, about where the 3 ice cream scoops meet, where candy can be shoved in. On the top of the piñata there was a medium-sized white nylon tie, looped into a ring, as a not-so-sturdy hanging mechanism. First, I modified the piñata as follows. What I didn't realize when I read the description was that it DIDN'T state there were NO strings attach to open the pinata!
you have to hit it with a stick (which can be fun)...just hoping it'll be easy to open once the children attempt to hit it with a stick, otherwise we're going to have to just tear it open. |
