The sticks measure 6 inches long by 1.5 cm in diameter and glow once for 8-12 hours. Each glow stick comes with a pre-attached hook, which can be used to hang the stick. To activate the item, simply snap and shake it. Sold by the box (25 glow sticks per box).

I am going to use these glow sticks for my child's valentine gifts, in place of candy. The glow lasts a long time, and is pretty bright. The different colors are fun too. My only complaint would be that they are hard to snap for the kids, but I imagine that would be a widespread problem, and not just for this particular item.
