144 Fortune Teller Miracle Fish - Fortune Telling Fish

I bought these to give out with a paper fortune at Halloween. We set up a backyard haunted carnival theme and our Fortune Teller handed these out to the kids. I did add a note "Do Not Eat" on the outside of the package to insure the children would not confuse the fish with candy. I also separated the candy from the fortune so to insure there was no mistake.

For the value this is a great party favor. The fish do work and it was a flash back from when I was a kid and I remembered playing with one of these. The Fortune Teller Fish is made of thin plastic and curls up in different positions which determines what your fortune is. For example: If the fish just moves it's head then that suggests "jealousy"; if the fish moves it's tail than that suggests "indifference", etc. There are 7 different movement explanations printed on the outside of the package. I was looking for a cool way to say "Happy Valentine's Day" to all my friends and family, and these "magic fish" are perfect! A lot of people remember these from their youth, and those who don't were intrigued and amused by the idea. They're small and light enough to tape to the back of a postcard or slip in an envelope (which I recommend if you're sending it overseas). The user places the fish in his/her hand and the plastic of the fish reacts to the heat of the human hand. When the fish is removed from the hand, the plastic straightens out, so the fish can tell fortunes again and again. And don't worry about insulting recipients with a fish that tells them they're "a dead one": I estimate that the fish give a "passionate" reading 90% of the time! My daughter got these for her 8th birthday party and they were a huge hit! The kids love watching the fish move around and the packaging is cute. This is highly recommended for kids - and adults!
