12 Cardboard Pirate Hats

I bought these hats along with eye patches and tattoos that came bundled together for my son's bday party. Don't do it. I am warning you now. These were cute, but stapled on the sides for an adult head, not for a kids. I had to keep stapling them to each kids head to fit and that was a fiasco because some of them got stapled too small and some too big. Finally the kids gave up and didn't want to wear them. I wish I had gotten some hats with elastics or red bandanas for all the kids and tied them on. We were able to get them all on for one picture, but as soon as the treasure hunt started, the kids threw them to the ground because they wouldn't stay on and they were uncomfortable. More money down the drain.

The pirate hats are made of flexible cardboard. They easily come unstapled. The size can be changed using staples. I didn't have high expectations about their durability. They were fun for the day we used them.

These things were dirt cheap, so I could afford to pick up a bunch of them to hand out to our guests at our adult pirate-themed party. The staples on the sides are flimsy, so if I had realized how quickly they would fall apart, I would have reinforced the edges with clear tape or more staples before handing them out. Other than that, these worked great and everyone enjoyed wearing these silly paper hats.
